Operation: Paint for days

      The drop cloth is up. Tape is off. We have finally finished the nursery paint job. Danna and I have agreed that we will never paint stripes again, what a pain. With all said and done, I think it came out pretty good. Unfortunately the pictures don’t do it justice.

New beginnings

Well with a bun in the oven I see no better reason to resurrect “TheDregerExperiment” blog. I think this will be a great way to document Danna and I lives as we journey into parenthood and further on.  So I know I need to post some missed info so everyone can be caught up on the baby news and what not. So here we go.

So you can't see in these pictures but some nurse informed us that some other fuzzy picture show that it is a girl. So by some mirical we have agreed on the name Eva Marie Dreger. Wow that was a long journey seeing some ultra sounds and learning a gender can take a lot out of you.

TMI of the doggy kind

Are poor dog is in heat and apparently dogs have periods too. I was wondering why every time I asked the dog if something was wrong she just barked nothing 8 times before she figured out what she could yell at me about. Anyway I thought i would share a pic of what has me laughing my ass off.

Turkey day x3

So Danna and I survived another holiday involving a good amount of driving. The only picture I have for the day is of a Honda converted in too...well into some thing.
We started the day with brunch at my Mom's house. I can't remember the last time I had waffles that didn't come frozen in plastic. Good eats. Then back home to look after our still sick dog. Then down to Danna's aunt Julie's for afternoon turkey. Good eats there too. Then back to Mom's to meet my sister Allison's boyfriend. More good eats. Finally getting back home and going to sleep.

What the bugs have left me in my garden

So this is what is left of my cabbage. It used to have four leaves but apparently some bug decided to eat out one of them.


This is the only strawberry plants to survive out of three purchased. It too has been chewed on.

Here are three of the four roma tomato plants I managed to grow from seed.

This cherry tomato plant was purchased and is about to start growing some mini tomatoes.

This monstrosity is my raised bed. I'm sure I can make better use of the space but hey I'm learning. I'm digging a normal garden next to this one but it seems to be taking forever do the fact the ground it so hard I have to use a pick to loosen it up. Try to contain your excitement while you wait for Pictures to come. Special thanks to my mom for the gift card to Home depot for plants that were already started.

The great pumpkin Massacre

So me and Danna.... So Danna and I decided to carve pumpkins. I don't think they came out half bad. Danna's pumpkin will be going to work with her hence the braces and crooked teeth. Mine will be out in front of the house. Unfortunately karma dictates that some kid will no doubt smash it. I guess it would only be fair since i smashed my share of pumpkins. Ahhh youth..

I gots da brains fo skool

Holy crap I got a 97.5% in my math class! I'm pretty sure that would be a life first. Go figure it would be 30yrs before I figured out how to study, take notes, and learn in general. Well they didn't give me anything to put on the fridge, so I'm posting here.
